Meet the All-New 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan

Last month, Volkswagen announced that the second-generation Tiguan has been designed to meet the requirements of the American customer, with the all-new SUV featuring a more spacious and sophisticated interior.

The vehicle is now based on Volkswagen's Modular Transverse Matrix (MQB) architecture and is 10.6 inches longer than the current generation model. Boasting a lower, wider stance, the SUV is already earning design awards in Europe for the way it presents its sharp lines and LED lighting.


Volkswagen Reports June Sales Increase

Earlier this month, Volkswagen of America announced sales of 27,377 vehicles in the United States in June, an increase of 15 percent compared to June 2016's results. To date, 161,238 Volkswagen vehicles were sold in America during 2017, an improvement of 8.2 percent in year-over-year sales.

June is also noteworthy in that it marked the first full month of sales for the Chattanooga, TN-built Atlas SUV, which delivered 2,413 vehicles to United States consumers during the course of the month.


Volkswagen Releases May Sales Results

Recently, Volkswagen of America announced that the company sold 30,014 vehicles in May 2017, a gain of 4.3 percent over May of 2016 sales. Thus far, Volkswagen has sold 133,861 vehicles in the United States, registering a 6.9 percent increase in year-over-year sales.

The strong performance was driven by results for the Volkswagen Golf, Jetta and Beetle families of vehicles.


e-Golf Named Top Green Compact Car

The Volkswagen e-Golf SE was recently honored with the Top Green Vehicle award in the Compact Car category of the 2017 AAA Green Car Guide. Competing with 20 other compact cars, the e-Golf registered the highest score among all competitors, with the vehicle's sharp handling, responsive steering and smooth acceleration drawing praise. The vehicles were scored on 13 different attributes, including slalom handling, visibility, EPA emissions, ride quality and interior noise.


Volkswagen Reports April Sales Results

Earlier this week Volkswagen of America revealed sales of 27,557 vehicles in April of 2017, marking an increase of 1.6 percent over April of 2016. So far this year, Volkswagen has enjoyed a sales increase of 7.70 percent over last year's performance, with 103,847 vehicles sold during the first four months.


Volkswagen Golf Earns Another Award

Recently, Volkswagen of America, Inc. proudly released the news that the Volkswagen Golf was named "Best Small Car" in the 2017 Daily News Autos Awards. The jurors praised the vehicle's performance, safety rating and luxury car-like appointments.

The 2017 Volkswagen Golf features a turbocharged direct-injection 1.8-liter four-cylinder TSI® engine that, when paired with the 6-speed automatic transmission, generates 170 horsepower and 199 pound-feet of torque while also offering an EPA-estimated 25 mpg city/35 mpg highway.


Volkswagen Sales Were Up for March

Volkswagen of America recently announced that the company sold 27,635 vehicles in March, a 2.7 percent increase over March 2016. For the year-to-date, Volkswagen has sold 76,290 vehicles -- an improvement of 10.1 percent in year-over-year sales results.

The month's positive performance was driven by the Golf family of vehicles, which accounted for 6,369 sales -- an increase of 41.7 percent...
